Keyboard Installation and Operation

Disabling/Enabling the Sounder

1. Enter the Special Config menu.

2. Press the VCR FAST FORWARD ( ) key.

3. At the "Sound 1=On 2=Off" prompt, enter 1, or 2 and then press the ENTER key.

Selecting RS485 or RS232 mode

1. Enter the Special Config menu.

2. Press the VCR RECORD ( ) key.

3. At the "Set mode 1=RS485 2=RS232" prompt, enter 1, or 2 and then press the

ENTER key.

To Reset the Keyboard to its Factory Defaults

1. Enter the Special Config menu.

2. Press the VCR PLAY (

) key.

3. The unit will display the message "Defaults Loaded".

Selecting Auto Repeat or Make/Break Keypress Mode

In Auto Repeat mode, RS232 telemetry commands are repeated at 15Hz for as long as

the key is held down or the joystick is not centralised. In Make/Break mode, a single

command is sent upon keypress, and another when the key is released.

1. Enter the Special Config menu.

2. Press the TELEMETRY (

) key.

3. At the "Telemetry 1=Rept 2=Mak/Brk" prompt, enter 1, or 2 and then press the

ENTER key.
